The fact that it was 2 bed/2 bath, made for lounging with a huge sectional and a large tv, located in the middle of it all, and is a sophisticated reimaging of an historic school sealed the deal. "This property was a nice change of scenery-inside and out. Inside we found everything we needed and then some. How nice to be provided with coffee! I like the fact that the refrigerator needs to be cleaned out even though it can be difficult to throw away good food, condiments, etc. It just made it be so much more sterile. "We wanted something that was walking distance to downtown and the lake. This property gave both. We were able to walk to different parts of the lake from this property and easy walking to the main downtown/ Martine Museum. There is a full kitchen with most supplies. The layout of the place was nice as well. The bridge that goes over the Black River is right outside and it didn’t affect our sleeping. I even brought ear plugs just incase and never used them. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay....

Loved the amount of space and downtown view, feeling of being in the center of the action. Good for those who don't mind stairs, probably not the best for anyone where stairs are an issue (both from the street entrance up to second floor and up to loft master bedroom).
