"Unusual property, perfect location next to Marwell zoo. Staff very attentive & helpful, especially the receptionist who checked us in. Swimming pool area a little dated, with dangerously slippery floor. Used restaurant for evening meal, food overpriced for what we had, also hot offerings at breakfast were cold"

"The concierge was an absolute gem. I forget his name, but loved him so much I took a picture with him. Very helpful and they had everyone who was getting a taxi for the cruise ports down to a science. "

"Weather was good on our first day and we got use of the garden area for drinks and snacks. The room was very comfortable and clean and the service was great. We had booked the Wednesday night and then decided to book additionally night on the Tuesday so we could see around Winchester and we are glad we did. The hotel reception managed to leave us in the same garden vie room rather than moving to the Feature double room. Although this room was bigger and more facilities within the room we were happy to stay within the room we were in. So the staff were very accommodating and very helpful. "Great hotel, been lots of times always very good. One problem the car park is always extremely busy whenever you go, very hard to find a space."

"I hadn't stayed in aBritannia Hotel for quite a number of years because standards had slipped. This hotel really surprised me, it was of a high standard and immaculately presented. Helpful staff and the late check in was ideal as we arrive by cross channel ferry so we knew that we would be late checking in. Its a pity that we didn't have time to use the spa and golf course."
