Highland Resort Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Clean and spacious hotel inside Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park. Hotel guests have priority entrance to the amusement park and free parking (remember to ask for parking voucher). Onsen inside the hotel (temporary closed for renovation during our stay - Oct/Nov 2026). There are rooms with mountain view options. Extensive variety of western & Japanese buffet available for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as other restaurants inside the hotel. There are direct buses from Tokyo - cheaper and direct to the amusement park/hotel."

Fujisan Onsen Hotel Kaneyamaen

10/10 Excellent

"Staying at Hotel Kaneyamaen was incredible. The staff was incredible, the grounds were beautiful and there were so many amenities and activities to enjoy on property. We stayed in a room with a private open-air onsen and full view of Mt. Fuji and came with breakfast at the buffet and nightly kaiseki dinner. We also had access to both lounges which was an added bonus! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the Fujisan area!"

Laforet Hakone Gora Yunosumika

10/10 Excellent

"An absolutely amazing stay in Hakone. The room was clean and tidy and oh so very spacious. The private onsen was a dream. The dinner and breakfast options I would highly recommend as there isn’t a lot of options around. Location is slightly inconvenient but that’s just small town life. However, this is a more modern ryokan than a traditional one which was fine with me. A great place to relax and wind down."
