“We had a problem when we first got there. Our key card would not work and we were fighting with the door for about 10 mins. Boyfriend went to go get another key and I see a woman peeking out from behind the curtain in the window. I asked her if she was staying in that room and she came to the door and we spoke. Felt terrible because we woke her. Boyfriend comes back around the corner with the original key card and the person behind the desk only to find out that yes that room was already given……

“The room was nasty as there were bugs in our room, the bed was horrible and the drain to the shower would only go down very slowly. One of the maids asked us for money on Saturday stating “until she got paid tomorrow” which happened to be Easter Sunday and knew she would not get paid that day. There were also kids running up and down the hallway and slamming doors. We checked out early because of this. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!”

“The Tru property in Beaufort has large clean rooms, large bathrooms and an inviting exterior. This is my 2nd time staying here and I will be back.”

“I've been traveling back and forth to Florida for 30 years and this is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. When I was given a room it smelled like old fish and I asked to have it moved and I was granted that request the room that I was moved to also smelled like old fish. The staff was trying to be helpful but it's obvious this is the usual problem they they gave me packets of things that smell good and I was told to put it in the air conditioner. The problem was the air conditioner……

“Room and property was very clean. Loved how pet-friendly the hotel was. Made us feel relaxed having our dogs with us. Buffet was very mediocre with little options. Location was great though! ”

“Overall this was an average, pretty much no frills hotel. The rooms were clean. No microwave or closet in the room. You had to request new towels or room cleaning as they only do this every 2 days. However, you were not informed as such until we asked. Breakfast was average. But overall clean. ”

“When I arrived at the hotel no one was in the office and it was locked. I had to bang on the window and wait some time to be helped. After I finally got my room, it was in very poor condition overall, worst of all the dead-bolt didn’t work and there was no hot water in the shower. Terrible experience.”

The inn’s owner and staff are friendly, outgoing and create a warm and welcoming environment for their guests. The water views and convenience to downtown shops and restaurants could not be any better. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 607 as a memorable part of our 50th wedding anniversary celebration. We will definitely return!!”
