“This is the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. The friendly staff at the counter made us feel at home. This is a very natural hotel. We just don't need a TV. Although there is no air-conditioning, it is very comfortable and there is always a natural wind blowing in. really great The reception staff are beautiful and kind. “Million dollar view. Rooms are quaint. No A/C or TV but constant breeze kept us cool and who go's Hawaii to watch TV anyway ? Small but nice pool. Laid back atmosphere . We loved it. Breakfast on our deck with the waves crashing in was the perfect start to our day. ”

“It's in a nice location if you're spending one night for visiting volcano national park, but it's definitely not okay if you want to stay longer,because it's really far from EVERYTHING. The closest downtown is 45 minutes away by driving. The room is nice but simple. The wall is so thin that I could hear the detail conversation of my next door neighbor.”

“We loved our stay at Kehena house! We were greeted by Stephen when we arrived and given a quick tour. They were hosting a Pride potluck that day and he kindly invited us to come eat and join in as guests of the house. Everyone we met was friendly and we felt safe to be ourselves.
