「My wife and I had visited Newport via cruise ship twice in years past and wanted more. We decided to stay a few days April 12-16, 2024. Wanting it to be special, I searched for a nice place to stay. After considering several Inns in the area we selected The Francis Malbone House. WE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!! The inn (House) was perfectly located. Very convenient to shops, restaurants, and local destinations. Easy walking distance to the wharf areas. We rented a car and parked in the provided car...

「We liked the location of this property- right on Thames Street and within walking distance of the Newport sites. It was also very quiet at night and I slept like a rock! We appreciated the full kitchen and washer/dryer, complimentary beach towels, and there was plenty of room for our family of 5. We would definitely stay there again!」

「The loft was nicely decorated, very clean and in great condition! I stayed with several of my girlfriends and we all thought highly of the place. We were able to walk to dinner and the mansions were just a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again」

「The property consists of two rental units but this fact is not obvious from the pictures on the website. We did not get the rooftop deck with a view of the harbor. That belongs to the other unit. The sewer pipes are enclosed in the paper-thin walls of the first floor bedroom of our unit so every time someone flushes the toilet, uses the sink, takes a shower, you can hear water flowing through the pipes followed by loud clanging sound. Along with the loud music, people talking, chairs scraping...

「We loved the location, the layout of the loft, the kitchen and for the most part the bathrooms. At this price point, you expect perfection. The beds are adequate, but not as good as a Marriott or Hilton, one toilet ran constantly, as there must have been a small leak, we asked to have it fixed but it never was. It is a who cares complaint unless it is 2am. Finally, with the fantastic location comes plenty of street noise. Despite a few minor frustrations, I would recommend the...
