Charming 2-bedroom pet friendly cottage, right by ferry in Mackinaw City.

"This was all around bad nothing as was described. No heat when we arrived which was fixed. No tv was working the shower didn’t work so no showers for us to use , no toliet paper given either who wants to go get toilet paper on vacation. There’s no host to communicate with. The place was dirty all around live bugs all over inside just gross. People around us all had issues also. Overall not a good experience. Would like a partial refund not sure how to go about that."

"1. very friendly and helpful staff, easy access to beach back side of hotel, reasonable water park area for kids and adults.The price is less compared to other similar hotels.but example best Hampton hotel charges $200 with breakfast buffet. this hotel charges $100 with no breakfast."

"The room was great! Very comfortable pillows and beds. The counter staff at the end of our stay could have been a little nicer. She yelled at us as we were taking our first oaf out to our car saying we had to check out with her. “You have to check out with me!” Ok calm down lady we aren’t done yet. The hostesses at The Club for dinner were terrible. We waited for 10 minutes before anyone would even acknowledge us. Even after making eye contact. But we were hungry and tired from driving do we didn’t want to go anywhere else. The server was really good and the food was great as well."

Cedar Hill Lodge

"I drove into town with an “injured” car window and no one in town open to help, but upon checking in, the owner of Cedar Hill Lodge eased my mind and had a plan to at least prevent the coming rain from getting in overnight. The care and concern for not interrupting my trip due to unforeseen circumstances was beyond helpful and gave me the confidence that I could continue on to Mackinac Island for the day with no worries- he was quick to help me figure out where to go the next morning for service and how to navigate getting from there to the ferry and back to the lodge when we returned. Also, you can tell that the whole place is in the middle of a complete renovation but still keeping the character of the motor lodge of years gone past. The carpets and furniture were new and the beds comfortable. Plenty of parking and a shuttle to the ferry and back. Also, despite being there at the beginning of the biggest weekend of the year (local car show), it was quiet at night. Would stay here again."

"We rented the premium cabins for a couple days. They were beautiful a bit expensive. There’s no yard I should’ve looked deeper into the property. I assumed with cabins there would be bonfire pits maybe a grill or a barbecue area there was not. There was an area where they had the laundry outside, which we could see from our cabin porch and a garbage area. Something happened, where the birds were everywhere going through it. They did have trash cans in between the cabins which made it convenient, but for some reason in that area, there was a bunch of garbage. Staff was extremely helpful and thorough"
