Communal area: paintwork chipped and tatty; stair carpet was filthy. Room: broken and damaged furniture; 3 lightbulbs not working; TV remote control held together with tape, and some of the buttons didn't work (we were unable to adjust the volume, for example); stained upholstery on chairs; curtains were falling to pieces, and tricky to draw.

Really good value

Really good value for Brighton. Comfortable and clean. Quiet at night. Really central. Bit cold in the room because the window is a bit drafty, but no big deal. Would recommend.
