"We had a great stay for a couple of nights at Casa Gem, and it is a gem! Nicely appointed with everything you need. Spacious and very clean. Breakfast was so good to start the day. We enjoyed the tranquility of Casa Gem. "
"This hotel is not really for tourists. If you just want a nice clean place to stay for a night or two and you have your own transportation to get to the local attractions you will be satisfied. We reserved a room with a kitchenette but it was not useful because there are no plates, utensils or pots and pans, so there is no way to cook unless you know this ahead of time. The little pool is nice with a few deck chairs around for relaxing. "
"The hotel provides great value for the cost. It is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. The staff are friendly and at night the front gate is locked, with a security guard watching it. It is a short walk to Quinta Avenida and to many great restaurants, yet it is far enough away from the clubs that it is quiet at night. My only criticism is that the water temperature is inconsistent (if you can get hot water, it takes a few minutes to come through the taps) and that the listing...

"The property is amazing, great plant life and animals life. It is well cared for. The staff at the resort are super helpful and friendly. Roman at the pool snack bar went above and beyond everyday. Russell in the Oriental restaurant was great. The pool bar featured three amazing bartenders - Victor, Jose, and Selma. Our cleaner for the week was Consuela. She did an awesome job and helped out with a problem I had, which she was able to solve. Thank you to all staff which defiantly made the stay great. Food was OK, we found items that we liked at each meal, but it underwhelming. The room was great. The pools were amazingly clean and refreshing. "
"The staff at the pool bar were a bit rude. Seemed irritated when asking for drinks. The DJ on 7/17/2025 at the resort club also rude. Asked him to please put the birthday song that night- looked at me and said ill think about it and never did . As a tourist ppl travel for different reasons and celebrations , i was not asking for something impossible. "

"It's such a gift to be able to visit Palmaia for the second time. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. The food is hit or miss, but it's so nice there, you won't care that much. I still managed to gain 4lbs so I clearly ate pretty well! The servers and bartenders are knowledgeable and attentive.
The spa is beautiful and the therapists there are amazing. There are a variety of daily activities.
The nomadic guides, Kasandra and Esteban, are gems!"
