“The property has great character and the potential to offer a great stay. However with the ‘spa’ being separate and an eye watering £50 for 3 or 4 hours I decided to decline this option (and leave it to the Hen Parties). The rest of the hotel is honestly a bit tired and if you end up in the annexe at the back then good luck with the noise from guests talking loudly, toilet flushing and OH. MY. GOD. The peakocks. “Lovely staff, great service in the French restaurant, clean and comfortable room.”

“I stayed here with colleagues whilst attending a corporate golf day. Whilst we ate in the Clubhouse at the organisd BBQ, the food was extremely well prepared and tasted good. The hotel rooms were very clean, fairly spacious with adaquate refreshments on offer. I've stayed here several times and the price reflect the standard of what you get.”

“Hotel was very clean and quiet. This was fantastic as it was next to a busy road but it was almost silent! The air conditioning worked really well on a very hot day and the staff were really nice. Bed was comfortable room a good size. Had a bit of trouble getting served at the bar and we were ignored for a while being at the side but they were apologetic for this. Breakfast was typical for a buffet but the coffee wasn't great. Parking was a bit tricky to find (could do with a sign on the main……

“Wonderful stay. The setting is very peaceful and calm, after a 2 night stay we felt utterly replenished. The beds and pillows were large and comfortable. Robes and slippers were provided. The staff were friendly, approachable and professional. The spa is truly a gem here. Clean , was never crowded and relaxing. We never had any treatments but didn't feel like we missed out on anything. Loved sitting outside the spa and eating after a relaxing spa session. Special mention to Victoria at the spa……
