"My all time favorite hotel in the world now! Property and room were extremely clean and the views from every point on the property are amazing. The front desk and other attendants were attentive and always available through WhatsApp. Breakfast is $9/day and limited to 3 options + fruit so I would suggest going outwards for food and there is none at the property. Ubers to town are around $3-4USD but there is a little store within walking distance for snacks and water (as the property sells neither)."

"The perspective of Vulcan Arenal was perfect from this perfectly situated property. Great food ranging from Costa Rican to international, available throughout the day. I preferred their salt water pool to staying at a different resort which featured thermal pools- then we chose to drive back to eat here once more- so good. Just know in advance that you may not drive to your room; must take a jitney."

"This is a unique property, with direct access to a river running along the property which is accessible to swim in, the views from the cabins are spectacular with mountain and natural jungle views with amazing bird and plants/flowers. Had howling monkeys directly in front of my cabin. Can't recommend this property enough, just awesome "

"This home was exactly what we needed, close to downtown La Fortuna yet away from the noise. The house has 2 bedrooms with doble beds and TV’s and one loft with 2 twin beds. The bathroom has hot/cold water and the host provides shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, a cooktop as well as the basics you need to make meals if you choose to cook. The washer and dryer were very convenient. Towels and bed linens are nice, beds comfortable, cozy living area with TV and lovely patio with greenery all around where you get to see wildlife as well. It felt very private yet very close to everything, about 5 minute drive to restaurants and stores. The host was very responsive and self check in a breeze. Internet worked great. We highly recommend Villa Escondida. "
