"Reserved a single queen bed for two nights for a work trip. Staff put me in a room that did not match the description of my reservation. I complained, they refused to do anything. I then noted the whole place is next to some train tracks, which I felt I could hear every 20-30 min from 6am-10pm. I tried setting up my laptop in the room. There was no power outlet next to the small table that was squeezed between the AC unit and the bed. I needed to work, so I began rearranging the furniture in the room to get access to the outlet. This is where it got bad… I moved the bed and under it there was a large amount of yellow powder strewn on the carpet. Insecticide/repellent? I went to the front desk and showed her a picture of the powder that was strewn under the bed and told her I was concerned about this powder, and this room condition was unacceptable. She said “oh that’s just to deal with the bugs.” (*Stunned they admitted it casually). I was right about what it was! What if someone’s kids stay in the room and are on the floor getting exposed to it?? I told the staff that I needed a room change or I would be canceling my reservation with Expedia immediately and filing a complaint. They gave me a bigger room. (*Wish I did) New room had: - no shampoo or conditioner - paper bath mats - <12” of clearance between bathroom door and bed - burns on comforters - fridge door didn’t close -dirty towels were consistently stacked outside my door on a chair "

"This is a uniquely beautiful home. The architecture, hardwood floors, detailed ceilings and rugs are absolutely gorgeous. The furniture is elegant, yet comfortable. This is a classic, craftsman home (as advertised), beautifully maintained and updated. Beds are excellent. Linens are luxurious and plentiful. There are many thoughtful touches throughout, like bath salts and gourmet coffee. The outside area includes a full kitchen, lots of comfy furniture and vine-draped canopies. Lovely hosts who greeted us with a refrigerator full of home made treats. Simply a lovely stay. "
