「Very comfortable and welcoming place! A real hidden gem not too far away from the city. The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!」

「This is one of the smartest, inviting and friendly hotels we've had the pleasure to stay at. The room had everything you could want: a comfortable bed, a spacious shower, true blackout blinds, a garbage can that has a spot for recycling, a well sized desk and a Smart TV that was easy to navigate. The breakfast was above and beyond. Lots of hot and cold options. And the best part - a large, colourful, inviting space to enjoy it in! No stark white rooms with cramped tables and harsh lighting...

「The hotel was hosting a large group of young lacrosse players attending a tournament in the city, and unfortunately the behaviour throughout the property was completely out of control. Children were running up and down the hallways unrestrained late into the evening and early in the morning. At one point, nets were actually set up in the second-floor hallway and a lacrosse game was taking place indoors. It was unbelievable that this was allowed to continue without intervention from hotel...

「Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again.」

「Suite was homely and cozy, downtown Peterborough is fairly accessible by car, and convenience store right down the road. The property has a beautiful garden visible from the patio with lots of birds visiting for those into birdwatching. Host was knowledgeable about attractions in the area, recommending multiple places for us to visit.」
