“From the immaculate grounds, to the unreal US history from the Warner family, this destination is a true gem. Phil and Laura; the inn keepers hosted our amazing stay and provided information on the rich history of the site. Austin’s is a wonderful high quality dining establishment on premises with outstanding cuisine, quiet atmosphere, and wonderful wine recommendations by Christian; a top-notch waiter and sommelier. The original house was remodeled to provide outstanding comfort and……

“The cabin pictured and advertised on Expedia was NOT what was actually booked. The pictures showed and total different set up including bunk beds and a full bath and kitchen which were not in the actual cabin when we arrived. The pond that’s in the background was not anywhere near the cabin they put us in. The cabin you see on Expedia is not what you actually stay in. ”

“We could have gotten past the fact that the house was not the cleanest or the fact that there was really no place to hung your clothes. All the bedroom closet were full on the host personal items. Most of the kitchen cabinets were also full of the host personal food, two cabinets were full of spices, most expired. And really no sets of dishes to eat off of. The smell and taste of the water was horrible. We couldn’t even brush your teeth without a using a bottle of water to rinse. We spent a lot……

“Lovely spotless cottage close to river access, newly and thoughtfully renovated. Very well equipped! We enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor shower, spacious indoor rooms and sunrise/sunsets from the porch. Very responsive owners. Hope to come back!”

“So the parking was a bit hard to find because it was down a side alleyway. When we got inside, none of the beds had sheets on them and the linens in the dryer were still a bit damp. I texted the host but got no response. There was brown stains on the memory foam mat in the kitchen and spider webs in the bathroom that we had to clean. I later called the host because the WiFi password wasn’t listed in the welcome book as written in the Evolve email. You cannot access the bedroom TV at the same……

“This place was so quiet and beautiful! The house was clean and well furnished. We loved the privacy of the island and it was just what we needed for rest and relaxation. ”

“Nice property however needs a deep cleaning….refrigerator, under beds, sticky floors, and ceiling fan definitely needs attention. Nice area. The dining area antique table and chairs are not comfortable…the rest of the couches and chairs are good…lots of room and nice game room.”

“We enjoyed our brief, restful stay at this historic cottage. Located on a secluded estate, it feels like stepping back in time. With a brief walk down to the river dock, we were delighted to observe a pair of ospreys nesting on the nearby platform.”

“The property was exactly as advertised clean, fully equipped with every thing you would need to prepare meals. The disappointing thing was that there was so much pollen during the week we stayed sitting outside on the lovely porches was not posssble with our allergies!!We slept like logs on the comfortable bed!!!”

“We were unable to access the property and are requesting a full refund. The host was not responsive and ruined a wedding night. We have not heard from them, and this is three days later. The telephone number does not accept messages, and we are unable to connect with the host.”
