"Lovely couple of hosts, very homely and welcoming. Great situation, great beach only minutes away. Great golf courses abound. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was good too. Very dog friendly with Harris the golden retriever welcoming everyone who brings a dog."

"This property is excellent, beautiful, 5 star hotel in the middle of a tiny town, disguised as a quaint little hotel. Everything is excellent, room, service, staff all beyond expectations. Loved it!!!"

"So far the most comfy and welcoming place I have stayed at while here. This was my first time in the UK and I’m glad to have stayed here. Good room for the price with breakfast included. Only snag is the place is out of range for taxi/uber pickups. They are able to drop off if you’re coming from Edinburgh but best to rely on Eskbank station or a rental car if you need to get back."

"Very friendly staff. Clean room. Big fluffy towels. Quiet area. Beautiful area. If i had to pick at anything its to keep the coffee, milk etc stocked each day rather than having to ask for it. But overall loved our stay and would definitely stay again without hesitation. "

"Great place as a base for exploring the Borders. Overall stay was good. Room was exceptionally clean(had a couple of minor niggles but these were dealt with happily and swiftly). Stayed in a double which was quite small (with only one bedside table). Would 'upgrade' to a larger room if staying again. The best thing about this hotel is the people and the outstanding service they provide-nothing too much trouble and so friendly. Ooh- and good food including a fab breakfast. "

"Overall I’ll say it was a nice stay! Everything was super close and the are was incredibly nice. In regards to the room, I was on the lower ground level - there were times where it would be incredibly noisy. I will op for upper levels next time. "

"Stayed in the townhouse with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The townhouse was beautiful AND comfortable. The unit had a combo washer/dryer and a full kitchen. One thing to keep in mind, the unit has 3 levels and lots of steps. Local tours meet right outside your windows but it is kind of fun to listen to the stories. The staff was phenomenal. Went above and beyond in helping us celebrate our 30th Anniversary. "
