「Mary is an exceptional host beyond compare! Booking and check in were easy. And Mary was most gracious to allow us to check in early and then depart late. The cottage itself is absolutely charming with beautiful eclectic décor, comfortable furniture and bed and ample kitchen ware. The front porch chairs are so comfortable as well as the back porch lounge chairs and table and chair set. Everywhere you look there are exquisite tropical plants and flowers. 「This is a charming, rustic "treehouse" nestled in the rain forest. The host was amazingly communicative and helpful. You can tell that the family actually spends time here as the kitchen has everything you meed to cook a real meal. We visited in December, and you do need to get that fire going and turn on the heaters ASAP. The bedroom area looked a little cramped in the photos, but it actually felt fine in person. 」

「This is our second time to stay here. We loved it, and came back because it was so quiet and comfortable, and such a beautiful place and view. The yurts are well equipped and clean. The elevation makes for comfortable cool, but not cold, nights. The central sky light is spectacular at night with so many stars. It is calm and quiet and beautiful with various flowers. But it is easily accessed from Kona South Point and Volcanoes National Park. If we get back to the big island again, we hope to...
