“The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable but dated and the bathroom was old and very small. We were on the 2nd floor and the "ocean view" was minimal and most of our view was of the roof of the first floor. Parking cost per day was high and an extra add on we didn't really expect. Food options in the area are ok - but the restaurants in the hotel were lower quality of food and VERY expensive. ”

“Had to make an emergency trip from California to Hilo. My dad was being energency disembarked from a cruise shio where he was near death for 5 days at sea. Fortunately the Holland America medical team were able to keep him alive to Hilo where i met my mom at the ER. Dad is going to make it home eventually. The staff, especially Cindy at the front desk were BEYOND helpful and showed extreme compassion when dealing with my 79 year old mom and making sure she is as taken care of as they could……
