In addition to the bedroom furniture, it seems that the hotel common areas and grounds have been recently remodeled. However the bathrooms, windows, and doors are in desperate need of an upgrade. The hotel is very close to the airport so it can be convenient but when the planes went overhead it was very loud, and the walls are so thin we could hear the people in the next room conversing. 「Comfort room and nice host. Have to cook your own breakfast, but every thing is prepared.」

「Very nice pool and view of the pool from the balcony. Especially enjoyed the hammock.Beds were comfortable. Unit was clean and well appointed, although keeping ice was a bit of a challenge due to the quite small freezer.Had a bit of trouble regulating the shower temp. At times it was only hot hot hot!! Not the best shower head as well, unable to adjust.Beach towels were not provided, something we have not experienced at other locations.Hosts were readily available to answer questions and...

「The Cozy Tropical Retreat was just as advertised. It was located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to parking through a dedicated guest security gate. The bed was comfortable and the full kitchen had everything we needed to prepare great meals. Raul was quick to respond to our questions and special requests. The AC worked great. I wish we would have had more time to spend in Hilo at the Guest House. The guest information book was a masterpiece!」
