“very clean and comfortable stay, however small kitchen with a sink & stove would have been great; one trouble was lot of walking/running noise and disturbance from upstairs.”

“Very clean and updated room that fit our family of five comfortably. The host provided great communication throughout our stay, which made everything easy and stress-free. The shower pressure was a bit low, and the property itself looked a little sketchy at first glance, but don't let that deter you. “The complex where this unit is located is in need of some extreme TLC. Once inside the unit, the unit is just ok. It was comfortable for sleeping and the shower had good water pressure. The kitchen pans are in really poor condition. The pictures make it look nicer than I felt it was. We knew it was a studio but the kitchen had no space whatsoever. There were no chairs at the pool and it was not an inviting space at all. The unit will be fine for some, but for me, it was not worth the cost……

“Great place to stay right in the heart of Hilo. Whaler's Inn earns its name; part of the enjoyment of staying here is discovering all the little nautical details throughout the house. For example, the drainer basket in the kitchen sink has a little whale on it; later in the stay, I noticed that the TP dispenser was a whale's tail. Very fun, and always in good taste. Recommended.”

“Pros: Property was clean and smelled good as soon as you walk in. Big property, nice parking, quiet area, good location near major attractions. Cons: No sink in the kitchen. Especially annoyed that they ask for you to clean all the dishes before you leave. I don’t know what they’re thinking. Bathrooms are on the smaller side, and each bathroom has the smallest sink you’ll ever see, which would not have been a major problem if they did not ask you to clean the dishes in them.
