「Perfect location for 2 people visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Staying this close made it easy to get to the park to see the latest eruption. The garden on site is beautiful. Some other reviews complained about not having hot water, the host clearly states it takes a while, so just give it time. And yes we saw a spider, took two seconds to remedy that. It's in the middle of a rainforest which is beautiful, but if you want to be in nature, you might just see nature. So don't let those...

「Our stay was truly exceptional,with a fantastic location, impeccable attention to detail, and a genuinely warm welcome. I do have one suggestion: considering adding Rubens Mexican to your recommened dining options, as it is a Hilo institution since1979. We actually made a special trip to Hilo to bring back a large order, and I highly recommend it to future guest. Mahalo for hosting us and we will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place.」

「Even with Vrbo technical difficulties, the hosts were super easy to work with and resolve the issues. The place was clean, in good repair, had excellent views, and was perfect for a few days of relaxing. As soon as you open the back door the sound of the waves crashing and jungle critters puts you at ease. Absolutely loved it! 」

「We only needed beds for one night and this worked out well for us. Communication with the owner was excellent. The location was perfect. We arrived after most business on the street were closed, so parking was easy to find. We left before sunrise to get an early start on our sightseeing and drive back to Kona.」

「Jennifer was a great host and she upgraded my partner and I for our anniversary which was totally unnecessary but very much appreciated! The location is beautiful and very close to Volcano National Park. Had all the amenities you’d need for a weekend trip but it could’ve been a bit cleaner. The floors and surfaces were sticky and the shower curtain needed to be changed out. But other than that, we would 100% stay here again. 」

「I was in Hilo for a month for work and stayed at Maggie's place. It was perfect for me in all ways - fantastic location, nice complex, very clean, lovely lanai, close to a beautiful park for walks/jogs. Various places to eat or get groceries that are within a 10 min walk or a couple of mins drive.
