"I honestly like the place for the pool and activities. The food was a hit and a miss; I like the steakhouse restaurant other than that the buffet you may like some items or not; choose wisely but far most I love the liquor in the room; as far liquor wise they also could of had done better in selection. We had a car to drive around so when we got bored with the food we went out even though this place was all inclusive. I would stay again if they improve their menu and liquor selections. "

"Prices were very high comparing the hotel offers. Here are the good: room was very clean, hotel was clean as well and well maintained, safe, food was ok, Riu party for all was really great. Not so good: the barbacue restaurant food could be much better some served seemed not fresh, more food options in the main restaurant and in the sports bar, the beach was full of weed and the trees had roots coming out of the sand, the entertainment could be better, the best was Riu party, other days were not so great. They could assist me better, I did not have a shuttle, when I called the hotel, instead of offer me shuttle options&tips, they told me to call expedia. Gym was very small and busy early morning. Overall was acceptable, but could be done much better."

"We stayed from March 25 to April 1st. The Service staff were outstanding. After arriving we became aware that the ownership of the hotel had changed. There was no communication about the change, and our package went from being all inclusive with the ability to order from the menu whenever we wanted, to not being able to get anything aside from the buffet for each meal. We were extremely disappointed with how the change over happened and the lack of communication around it. The expectations that the service staff had gone through with us upon arrival were just no longer available, and we had no choice but to dine elsewhere any time that we wanted a la carte food. In addition to this, there was a corporate team on site for the last few days and their presence was not welcoming or friendly in the least. We tried to address the situation that we were in with our package expectations many times, and were not provided any solutions at all that would have made it better. Prior to arriving we had also contacted the hotel to see if there was an opportunity to upgrade our room. Through email, we were given a rate for an upgrade, but when we tried to accept it and proceed to payment, the response was to show up and we would be taken care of. I tried calling instead to have the upgrade processed and was told that it was not an option. Along with that all systems were down, including wi-fi and communication to the front desk. The location is beautiful, the service staff were outstanding. "

"Food was terrible and so was the Privilege supervisor Gilberto. We got charge $127 for a tomahawk steak we did not eat. The food at the resort as a whole was horrible. "

"Staff was not friendly and often impolite. They over charged me for 1 kid and after 3 days Expedia made them issue a refund. We had a group of 5 families and only us could not get a room upgrade. The other 4 got it and just after 2 days they moved us for a better room. The internal areas like the gym stinks. But the biggest issue is the staff: they are not polite, they are not available and although it’s all inclusive you need to give room number and get a check after ALL meals. Annoying. The kids space is very poor and the beach is not great: many sea plants and they do not clean it well. There is no activities at night: no live music , small lobby … No 24hrs restaurant and everything closes at 10pm. "

"We just returned from a wonderful stay. The service at the pool and the beach was amazing! A breakfast buffet at Mercado 19 like I've never seen! The room was great too. The only complaint, if you can call it that, was with the ocean view. Although we paid for the ocean view, it was more of golf course view with an ocean glimpse! That being said, we can't wait to return!! "
