We stayed at the Staybridge London Heathrow for 5 nights and used it as a base for some tours with our own rental vehicle. It’s convenient for Heathrow, but not at all convenient for tours of London. Not convenient public transport to London from hotel. Nearest rail station is at airport (but hotel doesn’t provide free shuttle to airport - 9lbs I think). The rooms are quite spacious and hotel is across street from Heathrow. After being here for a few days, we kind of get the feeling we are step children to the attached Holiday Inn. The restaurant is there, more is going on there, more services available next door, more of an upbeat environment there. BE AWARE (we weren’t) that this hotel does NOT provide room service on weekends! Reception desk personnel don’t have good customer service training - like they are learning on the job. They should have told us about lack of weekend room service. We were able to call housekeeping to resupply us with towels. After being in this Hotel-Heathrow area for a few days, you realize that most every restaurant is Indian food and most every hotel attendant is from India - this is India town - a bit of a 3’rd world feel. Could not find any nice restaurant near Heathrow, only cheap looking Indian businesses. I would not choose to stay here or in this area again except for overnight convenience to Heathrow.
