"Floor (in room) made my socks black. Needed mopped. Desperately. But I liked the hotel. Check in staff was not too happy or helpful. It’s hard to find the room, as there are cabins/houses and the hotel is hard to just find on the little map. But I would return. I know good help is hard to find. "

"I’m not sure I would ever stay at La siesta again. It has potential to be a good resort but the lack of process, management, communication and hospitality makes me think that it won’t ever be (unless a new management company takes over). This will also make me steer clear of their sister resorts, Amara Cay and Three waters. Room issues aren’t taken care of (like broken floor boards, broken shower valves, broken fridges, missing curtains) - resort issues aren’t taken care of (broken pool drains around the entire pool, very dirty pool, unkept beach area) and lack of service and direction for guests (no direction on pool towels, not refilling pool towels when you finally find them, no clarity on where to put used pool towels which leads to piles of used towels everywhere, trash being left around the pool). The paying customer is ignored! This is my biggest complaint. When trying to check in our room wasn’t ready, that’s fine - front desk said they would call when it was ready. Did they call? Nope. I had to guess that it was enough time and to my shock, it was ready without the phone call. Next my husband went to the office to get room maintenance to come to our room (missing curtains in bedroom and non-functioning fridge). The front desk said maintenance would be to our room in a few minutes. 2 hours later no one! My husband had to return to the front desk to urge them to send a maintenance person. 20 min later he came and zip tied blanket as a curtain and no backup fridges"

"This stay was perfect for what we needed which was a bed for a night. It offered free breakfast so we could get on our way taking the slow drive to Key West. The rooms needed some maintenance, handles in the bathroom were loose and there was a large seam exposed in the floor across the entire room. We had a reservation for 6 people and there were only 4 towels and no sheets in the room for the pullout on arrival. The staff was aware we were checking in late and assured us they are open 24 hours for check in now. Which is true, so previous reviews saying no late check in that has been addressed, but definitely call ahead. However the person who checked us in came from off property and just happened to pull up a few minutes after we arrived, friendly, but in pajamas. We did not take advantage of the pool or marina but those would be pluses I believe if we were staying longer."

"Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay. Property was clean and well taken care of. Food is good with something for everyone. This is a good resort option for families with children for sure. "

"When I arrived to this property I was told that it was overbooked and I had to stay down the street at a different hotel that was way lower quality! I’m LIVID!"

"The place is a total dive. No amenities. Poor A/C, smells like a hospital. Even though the place was empty, they still put us in a room literally right on A-1-A. "

"An amazing resort. Front desk staff was incredible. I got an upgrade to a beautiful suite upon arrival. The property is beautiful. Pools, bars, restaurants, activities, and lots of spaces to sit and relax including gas fire pits and couches for evening wind-down. Loved it! "
