Top Mullion Cove Harbour Hotel Reviews

Polurrian on the Lizard

Polurrian on the Lizard

8/10 Good
"This is almost a review of two halves. Firstly, the staff and the food we had at the hotel were excellent. The views are fantastic and the ability to access Polurrian Beach & Cove makes the stay blissful even if you did not leave the surrounding area - Mullion the closest town is easily walkable. The hotel is being extended and renovated - which is very exciting and they have done an excellent job at keeping it out of eyeline and with limited noise impact. That being said there was no real information about it nor the impact on the facilities - the outdoor pool is closed. Whilst this would not have changed us going it should be more obviously communicated especially on the hotel website. There are a couple of points I want to call out: 1. I asked for our room to be cleaned in the morning and it wasn't done by the time we got back, too late to have it cleaned, in the evening 2. In parts the hotel still looks a bit tired and some maintenance is not proactively done 3. A bar that has to be told how to make a gin martini is not a good sign. It's a classic drink 4. Need of an alternative bar for when weddings are on. Banishing people from the only social space is not ideal. This may improve with the extension but not great especially in this weather I would go back, but for a 4* hotel there are some areas it needs to improve."

10/10 Excellent
"Perfect for a week for our family of 4. Right at the top of the path down to the beautiful Polurrian beach and literally right on the coastal path. The walk round to mullion cove only around 15 minutes. Clean and compact with all the utilities you might need whilst staying. Beds super comfy. We enjoyed breakfast/coffee everyday looking out to the ever changing coastal view across to St Michael’s Mount and beyond. And a bonus to be able to use the hotel facilities, with possibly the most scenic tennis court we’ve ever played on! Would definitely recommend and hope to return soon."

10/10 Excellent
"Just returned from a 7 night stay at Savoy view apartment The accommodation was excellent, everything needed for the stay was provided and the rooms were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We arrived early after a 6 hour drive and expected we’d have to wait around a few hours until check in but we were surprised to notice that the key had been made available a lot earlier which was lovely. The property is in an ideal location for exploring the beaches and coves on the Lizard peninsula. There are 2 lovely pubs in the village as well as a well stocked Spar shop next door and a Co op a short walk away. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. All in all we had a terrific week ( the weather played its part too 👌) Parking was manageable, only half an hour permitted on the road outside from 9am till 6 pm but the large car park was only a few minutes walk away and we did park outside the property overnight. We will definitely be returning to Savoy view in the near future. Thank you for an incredible holiday"
