“Pleasantly surprised. This looks like a small motel, but is an apartment complex that rents out a few units. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom a separate from the kitchen dining room. Just a few blocks from the beach… and a great beach club. For a low budget trip, this place was just great. The staff did not speak any english but google translate helped to facilitate good communication. ”

“Our room was nice and very clean! The staff was helpful when needed! We had a 12 passenger van and they let us park it inside the gate! It is walking distance to all restaurants and shops, but a bit further out than expected! The grounds is not as nice as in the pictures, could need a bit of TLC especially on the plants and flowers which is miner! I would stay there again!”

“We had a great ocean view. Cute little apartment, 1 bed 1 bath. Nice staff. Only thing I can say was bad was the shower head, needed a new one, and a little stingy on the linens. It also had a little spiral staircase off your balcony to go to beach. Very convenient. ”

“Great staff. The room was great. Ask to get a beachfront room on the 3rd floor. The trees on the property cut down on the ocean view for the 1st and 2nd floors. The hot tubs were not on. There is an area for a bar, but it is not staffed or stocked. Know before you go that this is in a residential area and there are no restaurants or markets within walking distance. Each cab ride to town was $50US. If you are looking for a remote getaway, this is a great option.”

“The property itself was lovely, our room was extremely dated, curtains hanging off the rail, bathroom faucet completely loose, literally could lift it out of the socket. No place to hang clothes, everything was about 70 years old, paint stained curtains and doors. ”

“The Cabana rooms are situated in a car park area so deliveries, waste removal vehicles early morning. No sunbeds allowed by unclean pool. Drink prices change according to who serves you. Beach bar beds stained and ancient. No free water as in other hotels, they run out 3 out 5 dats, no beach towels one day. Asked to speak to manager but wasnt allowed too. As one staff member said, just want your money but amenities so run down. Every other night karaoke music until about 1am from street behind……

“We adored Puerto Morellos. Fabulous beach and lots of great beach restaurants. Quiet town with lots of restaurants and live music. The property was cute and the staff very responsive and nice. Our only complaint was the sewer system which was emitting odour in our suite by the end of our stay. ”

“Area, restaurants, beaches, hotel staff, hotel location were/are all amazing. Hotel quality is low, but good overall given the low room prices. Clean and comfortable rooms. ”

“Nice property with beautiful roof top pool, club area is great with ocean front swim out and suite. kids club was excellent, food was ok (surprising in Mexico) and staff were nice but had better service at other Hyatts overall. Evening entertainment was ok.”

“The apartment was very clean upon arrival, checkin was easy, (keys in a lock box). Lots to see and do everything within walking distance. The beach 5 min walk and a large grocery also 5 min away. If you have mobilty issues this place has 34 steps to walk up to get in. There was no housekeeping and no broom to sweep up all the fallen palapa grass from the roof of the apt which seems to fall daily.”
