“Sehr schönes und idyllisches Hotel! Besonders die Pfaue, die um das Hotel herumgelaufen sind, haben uns den Morgen beim Frühstück versüßt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war großzügig und sehr lecker, und auch die Servicekräfte waren stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Nach einer langen Wanderung war der Wellnessbereich perfekt zum Entspannen und Ausklingen des Tages. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: Wir konnten den Zimmernachbarn schnarchen hören, als würde er direkt neben uns liegen.”

“Le cadre avec vue panoramique des montagnes est magnifique. Le petit-déjeuner est très bien avec du choix. Possibilité de diner au restaurant de l'hôtel avec une cuisine locale et de qualité, l'équipe du restaurant est très sympathique et serviable. Le jacuzzi était parfait après une journée de visite, si la piscine était aussi chauffée cela aurait été un plus. Merci pour l'accueil, à recommander.”

“Excellent Hotel. Very friendly staff. Very easy access to downtown. Took us 10 minutes to walk to downtown cable car site. If you need any supermarket items, the mall is right downstairs and there is a nice supermarket there also. There is filtered water on every floor in a machine.The breakfast is also excellent. Great coffee machine, selection of fruits and cheeses and breads, as well as numerous hot entrees. Also, very big plus was we rented a car and used the free parking in the downstairs……

“Great location for a wee break. Short walk from lots of great cafes, restaurants and the water front. The room was spacious, clean, balcony, comfortable beds, nice shower, plenty hot water. Complementary drink at the hotel bar was a nice touch although the hotel draught beer wasn’t the best! Breakfast had lots of lovely fresh fruit, unfortunately not fresh fruit juice but good choice of cooked options, breads, pastries etc. All in all would definitely recommend.”

“We stayed for our honeymoon in Madeira and loved it! The spa amenities, daily breakfast buffet and of course the views were incredible. We rented a car from the front desk and that process was SO easy and seamless. Parking was free and easy. This was the perfect spot for us to easily get on the highways and explore the island of Madeira each day. My husband and I are truly so pleased”

    Head to the hills in Madeira and experience breathtaking scenery and incredible fauna and flora. It is a beautiful place for long walks including some Levada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levada), incredible works of engineering to transport water to the south of the island - there are over 1,350 miles of Levada on Madeira! Buses run from Funchal. We went on a guided walk and benefited from fascinating insights into the history and life in the park.
