Backyard Oasis

We enjoyed our getaway to Palm Springs with excellent accommodations. Time spent in the pool, hot tub and back yard were a highlight. Though it is an older property, it was clean and the host was friendly and responsive. We came for sun and relaxing and found it at Casa Toscana.,

Pretty run down and the beds were horrid

While the property was clean, the place is REALLY run down. The utensils in the kitchen were rusty and the cookware had seen much better days. One door to the patio does not work and the other door’s doorknob is barely hanging on and will break soon. Luckily there was one other door to the patio. Most of the screens were missing, so it makes it very hard to have the windows open. Communication with the host was wonky, they expected me to randomly know that another person would be texting me off the app and then communicate via the app again. I had to ask several times if all forms were received by them to ensure our stay. Half way through the stay the door coded lock stopped working and we had to find a lock box and use the key from there on out. All the bed’s mattresses were past their use date, like huge valleys in them. They put memory foam over them, but by the time we left the backaches were very real. The toilet in the master bathroom is not bolted down properly and is a safety hazard for anyone with mobility issues. Also the faucet in the master bath is super loose and not bolted in properly. Lastly you can not change the thermostat unless you message the host. A storm had come through and it was super cold. The AC was blasting and it took a good couple hours to get it switched. If you are going to stay here make sure they have the system set to the right temp for you. I would not stay here again as it was too hard to cook and many items are about to break.
