"If you want to listen to a dog barking day and night this is the place for you . We barely checked in and asked about the neighbors dog and were told they would move us but then ghosted us. There are permanent tenants in the adjoining apt that have dogs and they are allowed to bark without any repercussions. This is not a relaxing property at all. We didn’t realize that there were dogs and it’s NOT mentioned in the description . We didn’t appreciate coming home after a day of sightseeing g to sit in the balcony and have the dog barking because we were there. Also being woken up in the middle of the night by the dog . "

"Room (2bdrm) was very nice and spacious with a full size jacuzzi on a large balcony. They had a really nice charcuterie board and good bottle of wine waiting when we arrived! Restaurant downstairs was pretty good, highlight was the ice cream which was amazing. It has an ocean view but it’s not oceanfront, probably the only downside we found. But great for families based on the size of the room. Would return."

"We were welcomed at the property beautifully. There were drinks available, the check in was smooth and although our ocean view room had 2 giant palm trees blocking the view of the ocean (a little sneaky)— the room was spotless and clean. Now, before I came I did write to them to ask for their help setting up some special things for my sisters birthday. I wrote twice and received no response. Here is what was great: 1) one of the concierges (I wished I remembered her name- maybeMaya? ) was Amazing!! She set us up with a great whale watching tour, made a couple of calls for me, was super professional and delightful… 2) they had a nice bar pool 3) housekeeping staff are amazing. Our room was always cleaned flawlessly and they were super polite and kind. Here is what wasn’t: 1) I asked the concierge to help me find a hairdresser to get my hair done. I asked him for prices and he gave me a range. I was very clear that I My sister and I went to the hairdresser to get our hair one. They did a fine job but the bill came and it was $800. The owner sneaked off and left her receptionist to manage telling us the news. Now shame on me- I should have confirmed pricing when I went in. But when I knew the top of the range- it was inside my budget (it was going to be at the most 250 each) —- when I went to complain at the concierge- he was totally useless. Didn't do anything to help, didnt offer anything to make up for it- and the manager never called me as I requested. . "

"Our stay at Hacienda Encantada was incredible. The property is gorgeous. Our first morning, we went to the breakfast restaurant where the staff seated us near edge of the balcony in hopes that we may get to see some whales in the water below. Sure enough, as we were enjoying our breakfast we spotted several whales breaching the water. My kids' jaws just about hit the floor"
