I had never stayed in Long Island City, but there was a convention in town and Manhattan hotel prices were inflated. The Modernist was fairly priced given the market. I would gladly stay here again. Just two stops and a brief walk to midtown.”

“Good location with several metro entries and a CVS and many restaurants  nearby; clean but not crowded pedestrian walk in front of the hotel gate to easily get on and off the car with luggages.  Room size is okay while still bit compact to unload the big suitcase with other small ones. Amenities are okay/basic generally within our expectations. Room is quiet for us thus we had good sleep/rest. Like the breakfast offered from the destination fee, although not too many choices but basically……
