“The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update……

“Room was clean and had everything required and plenty of room for our dog .We had breakfast at a ajoining cafe of which we were allowed to take our dog in with as which was good as we dont like our dog to be left on his own.The staff were very helpful”

Of course there are newer and plusher hotels but this place takes some beating for its idyllic location, courteous and professional service, cleanliness, comfort and good value restaurant. “The overall status of the hotel is nice, we arrived quite later at 1:00am, but the housekeeping starts knocking doors from 9:30 all the way to 10:40 (about 4 times) to ask people to check out... they really did what their boss told...”

“Rooms are shabby all round but the curtains were falling of the rods, the windows were in a sad state and the bathtub was awful. My room looked directly onto an alley full of commercial garbage bins and a rooftop bar was directly across from the window. The tv remote had no back and was held together with duct tape.”
