「This was a very nice stay in the off-season. They've got a great access point for the beach and a lovely covered seating area as well to stay in the shade while being close to the beach. The breakfast was fine. They have no elevators and the ice machine is a bit of a haul from where we stayed but I would stay there again. 」

「I paid almost double for a higher floor and got the 2nd floor. At 8am sharp there was construction going on right outside my balcony to repair the restaurant porch. A warning in this would have been nice. The appears to be no drainage and the parking lot sidewalk etc get swamped with the slightest of rain. Just another crappy tourist trap. 」

「This was our third time staying here and never again. It has gone way downhill ended up leaving right after checkin. There was a terrible smell that greeted us in the hallway and into our room. Everything was very dirty. The ac/ heat was super musty smelling. Will never return. 」

「It was okay. You do get what you pay for. The location is excellent. We were supposed to be on the first floor and when we went into the room it was NOT ready so we went back and got upgraded to another room in the second floor. The room head ocean view so that was nice. During one of the days the hot water went out but we called and they said they’re working on it and indeed that was fixed quickly (or at least quickly after we noticed it). 「Clean, comfortable and affordable room with nice shower! Bri met us with a smile and showed us around the place. We were not able to use the cute fire-pit area or tiki bar due to inclement weather, but I'm sure it's a hit on nice evenings. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the main house. Rooms come with a fridge which is great if you go out to eat and have leftovers. Centrally located on the island. 」

「I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. Lisa, the innkeeper, was very helpful and friendly. Beth, the Manager and breakfast chef was super hospitable. With the beach just a short walk away...we...

Staff was very friendly and very accommodating for a last minute decision to stay and unsure if I would need to stay another night due to a road closing and undetermined reopening. The staff tried to help me figure the status of the road closing keeping me from my home. Very kind」
