「Everything was fine in this rustic costaricain house. The communication with owner was excellent and directions were very clear. And we felt very safe. Even if its a Little bit old We would recommande this place」

「 Difficult to find in the dark but there is gate with name on it and they’ll open it for you to enter . Parking at mini-house. 2 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen. Deck with sun bathing area. Jet tub. Patio. Good wifi. Fans. Big zapper. Lots of bugs. Water was not always hot but warm. Great onsite hike with amazing views! Would come back!」

「My stay at sangregado lodge was great. The room was beautiful. It was raining a lot but we still had an opportunity to see the volcano straight from our room. Staff was very attentive and nice. We didn’t rent a car but we had access to shuttles and taxis that could take us anywhere. I think id recommend getting a car though as it might be a bit more cost efficient, but overall either is doable. There’s a lot of winding roads and there are no restaurants on the property so we had to travel about...

「Nice small property with buildings spread around. Rooms 1-4 are in one building, but the rest looked individual. Clean, comfortable room. Bench outside on porch for seating. Dinner and breakfast were good with lots of options, and good beer selection for a small place. Very convenient to National park entrance for blue river hike.」

「Absolutely stunning place. As a photographer, it was hard to get through my head that a place like this can exist, with so much wildlife and scenery, without being staged. It was real and natural. Crossing the field to the restaurant, I was focused on a Parakeet up in the tree, then two Scarlet Macaws flew overhead and a Ringed Kingfisher showed up with a fish, just outside of the restaurant’s balcony! 「We loved staying at Chachagua and would highly recommend it to anyone considering. The property is sprawling, with so much available onsite to enjoy. We took advantage of the coffee and chocolate tour, the cooking class, and the night tour on property. All were excellent. Additionally, Chachagua’s location is perfect for seeing Costa Rican wildlife. In less than 48 hours, we saw nearly everything we had only hoped we would see. 「This is the real deal! Historic property with great food, great rooms. Had a suite, very nice. We were welcomed by howler monkeys, deer and agouti (which is pleural for agouti). Nice clean pool. 4 star luxury. Stayed on our way to the airport, easy commute 45 minutes.」
