Heating was on all night, so it wasn't cold in the morning, and after skiing at Glenshee, that warmth was lovely. The fireplace downstairs was so good, and we had a nice chat and watched TV. Great breakfast, and we also had dinner. I got lovely lasagna. The breakfast room looks lovely with a lot of paintings. Books are around, and a lot of small details. “Un logement hors du commun que je recommande. Le cottage à l'entrée du site est grand, confortable, bien équipé mais poussiéreux. Localisation stratégique pour les visite de châteaux alentours (Glamis, Dunnottar, Blair, Braemar) Le soir, à pied, la découverte de la faune forestière est fantastique : chouettes effraies, biches, écureuil, vaches, cochons et chevaux sauvages, et bien sûr : les castors ! Plus la nuit tombe, plus ils apparaissent. Pas farouches, on les voit vaquer à leurs……

“Not our normal sort of place to stay but ideal for our circumstances. Lovely facilities and folk staying at the same time. Good self catering shared kitchen though only as we left did we tumble to the fact that Helen had provided some communal consumables in the kitchen - our loss.”
