“This lovely hotel just outside historic Gettysburg offers comfortable beds in good-sized rooms with a variety of amenities such as comfortable chairs around fireplaces, spacious areas for relaxing, tables for games, a pool, an in-house restaurant and a bar. It feels luxurious though moderately priced. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the area around the hotel is quiet and in the countryside. The only negatives were that the provided shampoo and conditioner were in hard-to-use bottles……

“Nice location off of RT. 30. Not fare from downtown. My only negative was the Air conditioner woke us up earlier in the morning making horrible noise. Had to shut off the ac an the room got a little uncomfortable.”

“No cleaning service until day 3 & that’s after asking for housekeeping to come in. Was told initially that they didn’t have housekeeping. Had to ask for towels & soap. Broken lock on door & a/c wouldn’t stay cold.”

“It is an older property, but was clean. We parked right in front of our room. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is great; convenient to shopping, restaurants and attractions.”

“There was a good selection of breakfast items. Parking was very close, safe and free. The room was enormous, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. We had a wonderful stay and wished it could have been longer.”

“OK, this is not a fancy hotel. But for what I paid, I thought I got excellent value. The place was clean. My room was very comfortable. The staff was outstanding and helpful. There was a pet fee, but it wasn’t much None of these are always true when you say stay at a lesser priced motel, but I thought the Super eight in Gettysburg delivered excellent value for the price charge and I would highly recommend it. They are a superstar at this level of hotel and I’ve stated a lot of of Super eight……

“I booked a room for the executive suite. I was supposed to get a king bed, and a pull out sofa bed. When we planned to go to bed, there was no pull out sofa bed. I immediately called the front desk, they only offered to send up a rollaway bed which was much smaller and uncomfortable compared to what I paid for and was supposed to have being a pull out sofa bed. They had no manager for me to speak with, and provided no discount or refund for again a room I paid for and did not get. They did not……
