“Stay was fine - bed was comfortable enough, woken up around 6am because the floor boards creaked so much when the upstairs guests were moving about. Floor boards also creaked in our room - really annoying more than anything. Breakfast was fine - continental breakfast selection was nice, ordered cooked breakfast was a bit cold, thought it would have been fresh but seemed to be taken from a cool enough hot plate.”

“My partner and I love this location but we noticed the check out time was 10am on a weekday so paid for some extra time in the morning. We popped the "do not disturb" sign on the door and luckily put the chain on but were a bit shocked.to find the cleaner trying to get in at 10am. She didnt seem to be aware that we were in for a longer stay which made us both slightly annoyed. We will happily stay again but not if that keeps happening. “The hotel had lots of amenities including multiple restaurants and two pool areas. It was in a lovely location with beautiful gardens. The staff were really helpful and adjusted my check-out time slightly later which was very kind. I also liked that there was a free shuttle to and from the ferry station from the hotel. I also booked in a treatment at the spa, which I would highly recommend. The only feedback I have is that I found my room rather small, but it was still a nice room and this……

“We had a lovely stay at the Castle - the room was beautiful as was the food. The staff in the restaurant and those who welcomed us were amazing. Only disappointment was on check out we asked the history of the castle and were told by a very disinterested staff member to "look it up online"! We thought they would have been very proud to talk about the history and when it was built etc. Other than that we loved it!”
