“Loved staying at Calmar Cottage, had all your home comforts as well as a/c in bedrooms a fabulous pool and great outdoor area, Charles and Maxine the hosts were lovely and very accommodating, Mullins beach was only a couple of minutes walk away and beautiful, lovely places to eat within walking distance, would definitely recommend staying at Calmar Cottage😊”

“The property is dated, needs to be freshened up top to bottom. It is on the fringe of a wooded area nice and quite. The 1 big complaint is that the property owner did not advise us that we were the only visitors to be there most of the time so there would be no food service available, so we had to cook every meal for ourselves. So that meant going to the grocery stores and buying supplies. Not what we had in mind for a relaxing 14 day stay. The cleaning lady was fantastic she did a great job of……

“For a moment I thought my reservation was given away, the gentleman said he thought I wasn't coming. ANYONE WHO BOOKS THIS NEEDS TO CALL THEM AND CONFIRM VERBALLY WITH THE PROPERTY MGR. They did get me sorted and the place was very cute, gated and clean. George checked up on us but everything worked perfectly and we had no problems. Nice quiet neighborhood and the locals were friendly. Very centrally located to Oisten and Lawrence Gap and Bridgetown all a very short drive. Highlight……

“The house is very well located, you do not need a car. The beach is 8 minutes away on foot, the bus stop is 20 meters away from the house. There are very frequent busses. The house is very clean, you have everything you need; but there are no moskito nets, so we brought them with us, which was a good help. We recommend this house.”

“I arrived after a long trip to London late in the evening to find the apartment very dirty and have not been cleaned since last guests stayed . Two hours later the apartment manager , very apologetic arranged for a cleaner who came that night and the morning after . The team tried to make amends but basically the cottage is shabby and the whole place is grubby and needs a good lick of paint. The photos on the web site were taken some time ago. “Our stay at Miyako was the perfect spot for our surfing vacation. The property was clean and communication with the owner Ty was easy as was the check in process. Freight’s bay is a 3 minute walk. A great place to learn how to surf. If surfing is not your thing this quiet neighborhood is a lovely place to stay. An easy drive to Oistins where you will find all the amenities you’ll need! “This was my second stay at the cottage and it did not disappoint. The location is perfect, close to the beach, Oistins, shopping, restaurants and other amenities. Keisha is a wonderful host. We had a couple of small issues when we first arrived, and Keisha was on it immediately. She was very communicative and helpful. The cottage itself is charming and immaculate. “Pros: Great location as beach, supermarket and restaurants are all within an easy walk. It’s on a dead end street so very little traffic. Beach club pool access is a bonus. Comfortable bed, pillows and furniture. Lisbeth and Patrick are available and very helpful Cons: No hot water in the kitchen. Kitchen is dated and is small with no table inside to sit at. Noise of dogs barking during the night and construction during the day (neighbour doing construction).”
