Had a terrific weekend. Cabin was very comfortable for all, close to skiing & village. Everything was as advertised and would love to stay again in future.

This place had everything. We ended up not leaving the cabin at all during our stay because there was so much to do and enjoy there. Plus the views are breathtaking! Will be staying here again.
We love staying at Hilltop. Been staying there the last 3-4 years. Very clean, cozy, beautiful views of bear mountain. Has everything you need for cooking, plenty of games for the kids. Perfect place for a family vacation.

Terrific property
We loved the property. Perfect for a group of couples with rooms on the bottom two floors. The private sledding hill was fantastic and the view is terrific. Would definitely stay there again!

Best family weekend get-together!
Everything possible needed was readily available! Great views from decks! So close to snow play and ski slopes! Best part kids were entertained with the playroom especially pac-man! Definitely would come again! Sharon & Bill are the BEST!
Amazing property. Beautiful views. Kids loved this property especially the game room. Only problem was a neighbor complained that we were loud even though it was the people renting next door.

Cozy home, great views and perfect for families!
We loved our stay at Hilltop Haven! The kids loved the bunkbed room, Mrs. Pac-man and the dug out sled route in the backyard. We thought the location was perfect for Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Everything we needed was available along with some great views!
Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful cabin, very clean.
I wanted to be in a clean home with a full kitchen to make a big holiday meal. We got both of those things in this cabin. My kids loved it. The pac man game was fun. We will be back, we wish we had stayed longer. Responsive owners, always available.

Great Family Stay!
We had 2 families meet here for a weekend of skiing. It was the perfect place to share. The kids all stayed together in the bunk beds. They loved having their own floor to themselves with the bathroom and PacMac game. The kitchen and living room were perfect for all of us to eat dinner and watch a movie. We had a wonderful view of the sunset over Big Bear Lake and the Bear Mountain ski resort.
We definitely recommend this home for families. There were games for the kids to play, several movies to watch (DVD's and VHS) on a large TV. It is well located near downtown and skiing. Quiet neighborhood, took the kids for a walk around the streets. Can't wait to go again!

Christmas in Big Bear 2016
This property is perfect for a large family or a couple families! Here is why: Three levels, one level bunk beds for kids, queen bed, BR & games on one level. Second level, King bed with own BR, queen bed with additional BR on 2nd level. First level BR, big kitchen table for 9 of us, nice stove/oven, plenty of dishes, silverware, pots & pans for big dinners, fire place, flat screen TV, two couches, love seat & chair, washer & dryer. Plenty of room for all of us to watch movies or football games! The place was clean, with several personal touches & upgrades. The beds were comfortable as well! I would highly recommend this place! The owners were very kind as well. P.S. we requested a white Christmas & they delivered that as well! :) Thank you Jesus! Blessings to those who stay here!

Will stay again, next year!
This VRBO rental was perfect for our little 3 day weekend! The home was clean, well-stocked, and worked out perfectly for 10 people!
The kids absolutely loved the game room and the bunk beds! And the adults loved being able to hang out upstairs without hearing the kids on the bottom floor and/or vice versa!
Unfortunately, our timing was off as far as snow is concerned, and there was no snow in the backyard! But, as my husband was walking our dog, he saw that right across the street there were kids playing in their backyard, so perhaps you can befriend the neighbors to have some snow play close to home! Speaking of close to home, I loved that it was a less than 5 min drive to the Big Bear Snow Play area! We tubed there both nights, and had a blast!!
During the day, we drove to the Alpine Slide (10 min drive) and spent some time over there, then headed to the village for dinner and ice cream!
It was such a great trip, and we are looking forward to hopefully another visit next year!
Thank you again for sharing your home, Bill and Sharon! And thank you for being so accommodating with a late check-out!

Lovely Hilltop Home
We (a family of 8) stayed at this lovely location for three nights and four days. There are many reasons to stay here.
First, having the snow right outside the backyard where the kids can spend hours building snowmen or sledding is a plus. No more running around Big Bear looking for places to sled. The kids were in and out all day.
Second, the adults loved the jacuzzi. Nothing like being in the snow and looking at the beautiful view and being all toasty.
Third, the kitchen was completely stocked for 10 people. We made all our meals here from tacos, chicken shwarma, and even barbequed teriyaki steak on their outdoor BBQ. They have a Belgium waffle machine which the kids loved for breakfast. They could use a few more wine glasses though for our family.
Fourth, we enjoyed watching the Super Bowl on their large TV in the living room. Lots of couches for people to sit on. They have plenty of games to play, but, we love doing jigsaw puzzles and brought our own.
Fifth, bathrooms on every level and plenty of sleeping places. They even have a game room downstairs that has fuzball and arcade games.
I hope to return next year.

Postcard Picture-Perfect Big Bear Experience with Friends & Family!
For the past 7 years on the long weekend in January, our family rents a cabin in Big Bear with another family that we are close with to enjoy all that Big Bear has to offer. This year, we invited a third couple to make the trip and, as such, needed a bigger cabin. We are so blessed to have found Bill & Sharon's cabin! The accommodations are clean and well stocked with linens and other necessities, and Bill & Sharon go to great lengths to make sure you feel comfortable and at home. There is a large open area on the hill below the house, and we were able to carve a rather long sledding track (we called it the “luge”) into the hill for the kids. It made for three days of amazing fun for both our kids and the adults, and countless pictures that we will cherish for a lifetime. The cabin is also just minutes from both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. We did manage to pry ourselves away from the house to go skiing one day, and when we got back we soothed our sore bodies in the Jacuzzi while enjoying the beautiful views on the deck. The accommodations also include a great BBQ (propane provided), the three decks with crazy good views, trash service (some cabins require you to haul your trash to the dump, which is a pain), two big flat screens and TV's in each room, a game room, and the list just goes on. We will definitely be back next year!

Sweet house with a great layout for having teens.
This is a cute house which is 3 levels. The entrance is first level with no steps which makes it very convenient and would be great for the snowy months. We stayed in August and appreciate the ease with groceries and such from the entry. The house is perfect for teens who need space and the jacuzzi and game room with bunkbeds made it so great as they are on the same level of the house. The living area is open and the kitchen is nice to work in. Each level has a separate deck which is alwaya a great thing. There is no fenced space for dogs and we used the gates to block off the upper deck for the dog. We had a really nice time and were here for one week. I am writing this as we stay here one last night.
Only recommendations: the upper deck faces West and an umbrella would be perfect for the table. I see a hole for an umbrella in the table and it would provide some shade during the warm days of summer.
Also one wooden gate would be so good at the point of the driveway walkway to the front door area. This would make it easier to make sure the dog can be contained if they manage to get past the front door as guests exit or enter.
Bonuses: the grill is perfect for this house.
The rooms are great and well maintained.
The drive is easy and the location is minutes away from town. The road is good for dog walking and the lake view off th deck is nice.
Overall, we had a great one week stay here and it is obvious the owners take pride in this home and we treated it as our own home. We left behind a puzzle and poker chips for the games above the fridge. Thanks!

Terrible! Was charged for “excessive use of spa”!
I don’t think I will ever stay at another property ran by Destination Big Bear again! There process for completion of booking is ridiculous. We left that place cleaner then when we arrived, minus the used linens and towels. Stove was dirty and oven looked like something exploded inside. All that and we were going to be ok with it. Not leave a negative review or positive. Figured, maybe they missed it when cleaning. We followed every rule, which they have an “departure check list” one of those was to lock the spa and set the temp lower. For some reason the spa controller would not work and we couldn’t get the temp to go lower. I called property manager and let them know, I was told leave it and they would take care of it. I know the property was booked the day after we departed, I figured they left for the next people. Anyways, 2 weeks later I get an email with noticing saying, “ We received word from the spa company that after your stay, they had to do a dump and fill. This is when the water cannot be treated with chemicals to make clear so they must drain the water, refill and service. The charge for this service after your stay is $100. Thank you.”
We barely used the dam spa! I have spoken to a couple people who take care of spas and pools and they mentioned that usually, the only time that needs to be done is when it’s not kept up on or when there soooooo much urine, fecal matter that it can’t be taken care of with chemical. I replied to the notice and contacted them several times to ask for details and they never responded.
Uncomfortable beds. Cold rooms with big air leaks from the windows. Sewage water leaking in bedroom
Mattresses extremely uncomfortable. Sewage water was leaking and made the carpet wet in one bedroom. Called maintenance but problem not fixed. Major air leak from the sliding door in one bedroom. Maintenance didn’t respond for a whole day. Maintenance did not fix the problem. Slept in cold room for 3 days. Worst sleeping experience ever. For such an expensive cabin the sleeping accommodations did not measure up and we’re below average. I want my money back for terrible room quality and for lack of response to the problems I noted above.
The house was very nice and clean. Great views outside of all the Ski resorts. We all had a great time at this small but big house.
Someone said this before but the house is on 3 floors if your an older person or not in good shape this house might not be for you. You will get winded walking up and down. It would be great for kids as they would have to go up and down the stairs and they would get sleepy.
They said don’t leave any food behind but we could tell other people had left a lot of food in the cabinets.
You need to take your own trash to the dump. It’s not that hard but you have no place to leave in or outside your house so you ether have to leave it in your car or take it. I just took it almost everyday the traffic wasn’t that bad most days.
The house doesn’t look that great from outside but it’s good for a weekend. The inside needs new couches for sure. The tv is old and the DVD player and even a vcr is not needed anymore. They just need to buy a new smart Tv and they would make that room look all cleaned up.
The fire place was graet! The BBQ was amazing!! The kitchen all worked great, except the oven had something plastic in it before we used it and when we turned it in to make Christmas dinner the whole house filled with toxic fumes. We all had to go outside until it was gone. It was cold outside so not so fun.
Parking was great just two cars will fit but no issue with snow.
Great views and all and all a great trip! We would stay again.
Location was nice and the property was clean. Didn’t realize that the house was three stories with two flights of steep steps. Was difficult for the older folks in our family to navigate and not toddler friendly. The carpet did smell of dog urine on the 2nd floor. The walls and floors are pretty thin as you can hear everything from people walking to sliding doors opening & closing. We happened to be there in August and it was really hot in the house without any AC, but cooled off nicely at night. The jacuzzi was a nice touch and the kids loved the arcade games.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet peaceful vacation. The home was exactly as described. The layout is perfect. It gets a bit warm on the top floor in the summer, but this is easily remedied by opening the sliding door and enjoying the morning breeze. Lots of room for kids young and old. We will definitely be looking to return soon.
Thank you for sharing your home with my family.
Our family has a wonderful vacation at Hilltop Haven. The Jacuzzi was dirty but with one phone call it was cleaned. Some stains on the couches but we just covered them with sheets. Loved the video games and the cabin itself had everything we needed. We would love to go back.
Wonderful experience, loved the lay out, entire family enjoyed their stay. Kept the entire family entertained and location was perfect as well as the views

Great location and family friendly home.
Beautiful setting with a fabulous view! Very nicely remodeled with updated bathrooms, bunk beds, and bedding. Easy drive to Bear mountain skiing on back roads away from traffic. Quiet dead end street. Great hot tub. New fun electronic games. Dishes, pans, utensils galore. Could use some new living room couches or a good cleaning. Memory foam mattresses too soft for our liking, but others may love them. Would definitely return.
