State Route Blues

The gorgeous deck in the pictures is accurate, but what you don't see are all the cars whizzing by on the main state route into Big Bear that is just out of frame. The place is adorable and someone has a talented eye in making it cozy and nice. But the constant car noise was, for us, a fatal flaw. We considered leaving early and coped by staying out of the cabin as much as possible. Newish weather/sound proofed windows make it quiet in the cabin but you can't open a window for air or enjoy the patio without the crush of traffic noise.
