The view was fantastic, although it was completely fogged in which sounds nuts, but I know what the view is. The room was bright with a great fireplace. The breakfast was better than a continental (eggs & bacon, too). I’ve stayed at dozens of properties in Carmel & this is one of the top 2 that I’ve experienced. Excited to rebook!

At check-in we were given an upgraded room due to roof repairs going on in the building we were originally booked for. The suite we were given was very large, clean and had a great shower. Location is fantastic for walking around Carmel. Highly recommend.

Property was nice except when we went to check in at 3:00 PM on a Friday they were installing a new roof all over the property. So very loud nailing. They never disclosed it on their website or anything. They finished at 4:30 that day and the construction was over for the weekend. Although if you’re staying during the week I would call and check first. The location was nice. We got a street level which was nice. Would not recommend the third level- no stairs and you see the building in front of you. The fireplace in the unit was nice because the nights it did cool down.

Cute and quaint little inn. Only stayed one night but was nice. Hot! Doesn’t have AC- only heat. Smell inside was musty but livable. Any stronger and we would have had to switch rooms. Free breakfast was nice. Simply but hot and fresh.

Hotel takes pride in the maintenance & cleanliness of their property. We stayed on top floor & had a view of the ocean. 1 mi from ocean which is walkable. We highly recommend this hotel.

We booked based on other traveller reviews and Carmel Bay Inn was exactly as others described. Great little spot, easy parking, close to everything. Many restaurants are walkable and there’s a market a block away that has everything

We have stayed at this property several times in the past three years. Every time we return we find that some part of the facilities has been updated. The bathroom in our room was all updated. The outdoor gardens are also full of new plantings. All these little changes has been a treat.

The front staff was fantastic. Personable, friendly and very helpful. The rooms are older, but recently remodeled and very comfortable. Ours even had a gas fireplace in it. It's on the upper edge of town and walkable to everything. Parking is convenient on property. Most rooms have a westward view with a peak at the ocean. We could see amazing sunsets from the walkway. I would definitely stay here again.

The bed linens smelled like they had been stored in a musty closet for some time. Other than that everything was great. Good location, friendly check in, clean rooms and great location.

The best thing about the property is the location. Walkable to everything. Breakfast is inedible and room upon check-in had a musty smell that permeated clothes, hair, etc. We asked to change rooms, which was better.

Excellent location, many good dinning options . Shopping , beach are walkable . Very convenient for a short stay in Carmel. I will stay again. Also, close to highway , very easy to continue your trip anyplace.

Was in Monterey for 24hrs and decided to spend the night in Carmel. Checked in around 5ish right after booking through Expedia. This Carmel bay view Inn was so cute and cozy! Perfect for dad baby and me! Great customer service, got recommendations for dinner & shopping. Breakfast was quick and easy with bagels- orange juice- eggs & bacon - coffee too! Might I add, the bathroom was huge! I’d def stay here again! Thank you
