Nohga Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto

"NOHGA hotel was absolutely amazing! We’ve stayed at 3 hotels across Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. While the other ones were great, NOHGA was by far the best hotel of the three, and perhaps the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The hotel is beautiful inside, smells great and has wonderful staff and amenities. Kyoto is a city where tourists walk and hike and having a laundry room was lifesaving. I received 5 1000 yen vouchers and with the Bakery, coffee shop, and bar (all inside the hotel) they went quickly! The bakery was amazing by the way. I eat a LOT of Asian bread and I had some of the best ones I’ve ever tasted here (try the rock seaweed bread). On top of the wonderful amenities, you can ask for pretty much anything you need from the front, and the rooms had clean water dispensers (another amazing feature that most don’t have). The showers and toilets are also very modern and amazing to use. Everything down to the cups, kettles and coffee were perfect. The location is great as well, located near Kiyomizu-Dera which was the first few hours of one of our days. The hotel also offers baggage transport services through both Yamato and Airporter (same day airport delivery and currently has our bags). I may update depending on how that goes, we are in Osaka now and flying tomorrow. This is the kind of hotel that makes me want to go into the hotels business. I proposed to my girlfriend at Fushimi Inari Taisha. Thank you NOGHA for being a wonderful place to return to!"

"Great hotel and wonderful staff. Staff arranged for restaurant recommendations and reservations for great dining in the area. 9th floor is a great upgrade for snacks and drinks available throughout the day and early evening."

"This place is great! Very spacious, had fridge, microwave, kitchen utensils … we got a room with a separates bedroom that had washer machine which was so convenient. Bathtub was also great. Great option for those who want more space and don’t care about having a person at the front desk all the time. Only down site is that as they don’t have staff at front desk they do not receive luggage from another property. But if you want send it out, there is a family mart right next to it that does the job. Highly recommend this place though."

"I loved the cross section of tradition and modern during my stay. The onsen (natural hot springs) was very therapeutic. The staff was very friendly and made the check in/check out process very smooth. My group and I arrived with our luggage two hours before check-in and the hotel staff were very accommodating with holding our belongings allowing us to free up our hands to explore and grab a bite to eat."
