「The room was ok and the location was ok. But I didn't read the email that said to bring your own whatever. I needed more towels and toilet paper. I thought it was an actual hotel. It had shampoo and body wash in the shower. I guess that's what it was. I could barely read the label but it didn't matter anyway because it was empty. Not reading the email was my fault, but I didn't see it and wasn't expecting to get one. The check in at 4 pm and NO early check-in was a pain. We might stay there...

「10 stars! It was so wonderful to be nestled in this woodland retreat as the forest provided relief from the relentless Heat Wave over 4th of July (250th!) weekend. Also a peaceful escape as it sits fairly far away from the highway and retail areas. The stairs are long, but doable if you aren't carrying much. Colleen is best hostess ever! No, seriously, she IS the best out of ALL my travel stays. Sweet touches and treats everywhere. Definitely coming back here.」

「Absolutely recommend the sunset surf shack for a little getaway in OBX. The hosts Amber and Brett have a lovely home and were great with communication and any recommendations that you may need help with during your stay. Local to the beach and with what they offer in allowing use of the bikes for the path or if you want to take a paddle out in the bay they are very kind to offer that. Highly recommend staying again if we get the chance. Thank you again Amber and Brett for having us with you guys...

「Great little house about 15mins from the beach! And the area is very quiet. It was a last minute get away from my family. The tiny house was perfect get away for us. Only thing we had problem with was falling alseep, because how much light from the street light was coming into the house at night. It would be night to have blackout curtains through out the house. Made it hard to fall asleep and get into a deep sleep. We are looking forward to our next stay there.」

「Truly an exceptional stay. The treetop is exactly as described. It looks out over the treetops and you can sit on the porch and enjoy the birds and sunset. The interior is chic and comfortable - and we slept soundly in the queen bed. Lisa, the hostess, was wonderful and inviting. I would highly recommend the Treetop.」

「The room was large and well set up. It was very clean. Only a sheet and thin coverlet on the bed - I would have liked a blanket.
A short walk to the beach (two blocks?)
Entry by code was great, but could have been nerve-wracking if my phone had run out of battery while out on the beach or if I left my phone in the room. I guess there are issues with leaving keys, too, though. It may be obvious desk clerks have been visited by me due to lost keys on occasion.」
