"My husband and I stayed here for the first time recently and we are disappointed. Parking with the valet is $35! The HVAC system in our room hummed so loudly a sounded like it could blow at any moment. And my husband left a brand new pair of jeans and socks on top of the safe in the closet. Our fault! We were one hour away when we realized this and called the property. I was told that housekeeping had already left for the day and t call back the next morning to speak with Janette. We offered to come back right then to retrieve the items before returning to Wilmington, NC. They told us no. That the room had been cleaned and is now being occupied. The next morning I called as instructed and reached someone at the front desk. He wouldn't transfer me to Janette and instead said he would speak with her and call me back. This was an hour later! When he called he stated the room had been checked and there was no sign of the jeans or the socks. My husband was so upset because he had just purchased the jeans for $100. The socks were Ralph Lauren for $30. And my husband had $270 CASH in his pants pockets of the jeans he was using for tips, drinks and dining in the restaurant on-site called High Rail. We will NOT be staying there again nor will we recommending the hotel to any friends or family. I cannot stand dishonesty! We KNOW we left the jeans, socks, and money on top of the safe in the room in the closet. And even offered to drive an hour back to pick up the items! I am disgusted! "

"Parking was easy but not secure at all. People come and hang out, smoke, and play music loudly. Random people waking out the woods etc… The gym was nice nothing amazing but actually kept up nicely with equipment that works! They’re really pet friendly which I loved. They only charge $15/night for pets. I didn’t get in the pool but the area doesn’t make you really want to. If you need a place that isn’t expensive then this is the one."

"Parking was good. The only thing i did not like was the dirty towels and washcloths was placed outside everyones room, on the carpet. I said something to the staff. One lady said that they were short of help and she was upstairs helping them out. "

"Rooms smelt like smoke, lobby smelt like marijuana, receptionist was very rude, unhelpful and straight up didn’t care."
