"This property is reasonably priced and well located with easy access to Laurier and Waterloo campuses. I had excellent communication with the host prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, the key was not in the lockbox when we arrived. After a call, she sent someone to bring us the key, which we received 15 minutes after check-in time. "Stayed in the master suite and the neighbouring room. Master suite was massive, and beautiful! Both rooms could’ve been a touch cooler as far as AC goes, not an option to control it from the room unfortunately. Staff were friendly during our stay, but nobody was at the check in area upon arrival - we rang the desk bell, had to go let someone know in the restaurant next door that we wanted to check in. Included breakfast was fantastic, also ate at the onsite pub for one of our dinners and that was good - but several of the items we wanted to order were sadly “sold out” (cider, Shepard pie). Convenient location for downtown exploring in the historic section. Very pretty town, and charming B&B. Would recommend for romantic getaway."

"The property was very clean, the decor was lovely, our junior suite was spacious and well appointed. We did not use the pool or spa but our friends reported that the pool was clean, quiet, and relaxing. Breakfast was varied each day and provided many options. Service was always excellent. Then there was Irma - she is an amazing lady with whom I exchanged many "alley" conversations. I loved her wealth of knowledge, empathic nature, and dedication to the Crowne Plaza. Irma - it was a distinct pleasure to have shared time with you."

"What a gem! We travel to the area frequently and feel so lucky to have found this spot. It far exceeded our expectations and was a solid 5/5 from both us and the kids! The location is fantastic and close to everything you could need. The property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, and we absolutely loved the layout of the condo, the generous amount of space, and the chic, thoughtful decor. It truly suited all of our family’s needs and made our stay so comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be back again and again moving forward. Highly recommend!"

"I have been staying at Homewood Suites for many years when I visit the St. Jacob/Waterloo area and it is one of the finest Hotels. It is convenient to the Farmers Market and the Outlet Mall is right next door. Rooms are spacious, clean and has a full kitchen with stove, full size refrigerator and dishwasher. Staff are friendly and willing to see that your stay is memorable. Breakfast is free and consists of hot and cold buffet items with plentiful choices."

"We were travelling with another couple and booked two room's which were identical in size and characteristics. Unfortunately our friends rooms had the odour of stale cigarette smoke which intensified upon using the AC. Our coffee pot was broken and the carpet was very dirty as my hubby’s socks were a write off from only after maybe an hour of no shoes, the shower floor well worn and the furniture had seen better days. I think this hotel is also used for people to live in temporarily as our rooms were equipped with mini fridges/sinks/sitting areas etc and had we known that we probably wouldn’t have booked there as the rooms run down conditions then made sense. Not saying there is anything wrong with long term “bookings” but it wasn’t the most comfortable accommodation due to the above. For one night it was ok but probably won’t book there again. There was questionable characters just hanging out in the parking lot in and around their vehicles which when we questioned the front desk about, worried about the safety of our vehicles for the night we were told were apparently also guests of the hotel. Just a strange vibe all around."
