“I would book the Carriage House within a heartbeat if I was visiting Charleston again. It was absolutely perfect and you can't beat the location. The place was super comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed. The beds were comfortable with a gorgeous duvet for extra warmth. Ruthie gave us some amazing recommendations when we arrived which we immediately tried. For been perfectly located, the place is lovely and quiet and private. “We are return guests. We reserved a water view room. We checked in, started to unpack and discovered water pouring out of the ceiling about bath vanity. The A/C handler was located in the ceiling above the bath vanity. We had to change rooms. The room was very nice, but the view was terrible - the backside of the hotel. ”

The location can't be beat for a visit to Charleston's historic downtown. The room was a two-level suite with kitchen facilities that offered everything we could want. The hotel also has access to a lovely outdoor courtyard. The facilities are a bit dated, but mostly charming. A very positive experience overall.”
