“Great place!”

“What a fantastic spot! So quiet, so clean, so convenient to the attractions we wanted to visit - and so well stocked! The only downside was that we visited during the July Heat Dome with 100 degree temps, so it wasn't comfortable to take advantage of the lakeside outdoor areas. However, with the expansive windows, we were able to enjoy the views from the blessedly cool living room. We can't say enough about our great hosts, too. We had a slight problem with the entry code, but that was resolved……

“The Retreat Cottage was fantastic! We spent the long 4th of July weekend at the beautiful, cozy cottage on a small working farm. The wonderful hosts provided us with farm fresh eggs from their hens upon arrival. Check in and out was a breeze. Our hosts live on property, are not at all intrusive, but available if needed. We were happy to spend time with the father and son as they tended the farm. They went out of their way to make our stay a true experience. We learned about life on the farm and……

“The house itself is a perfectly fine space — clean, comfortable, and close to the water, though not directly waterfront. Our main disappointment was with the management company and overall hosting experience.A few things future guests should be aware of before booking: the beds are not made prior to arrival, so you should expect to make them yourself. While there is a kitchen, it is very minimally stocked — there were no basic cooking supplies like salt, pepper, or oil, and the number of plates……

“Nice house! Host was very informative and accommodating. No issues at all!”

“House was great for what we needed. Older house but updated and we'll taken care of. Outside backyard was nice unfortunately we weren't around enough to use it. Everything was great.”

“This property is an absolute gem!! We wanted to stay somewhere outside the city that wasn’t too far from the draws of the city. This property was perfect! The owner is an absolute delight and made sure our stay was a memorable one. The home is a beautifully refurbished old farmhouse in a peaceful, scenic setting. The beds were incredibly comfortable- much appreciated after a long journey on the road - and the home amenities covered everything we could possibly need. The kids loved playing with……

“The house was very clean and exceptionally well-stocked. The kitchen has everything you can think of and then some - crock pot, instapot, all the utensils, spices, etc. Beds were big and comfy and we were given more than enough towels and pillows to be comfortable. Hot tub was a nice bonus. Neighborhood was very quiet. Although we ran into a problem with the WiFi (the router apparently died), Heather and Scott were quick to rectify the issue. No complaints since it was a problem beyond……
