"Great place to spend a few days with family or friends! Fantastic amenities, loved the shows, right on the beach. Had a bunch of long skinny pools because there are so many swim out suites. Very easy to get beach chairs and beds are free, unlike most resorts. Food was mixed, but you can definitely find a variety of tasty stuff (they cooked us a meal by request). Not sure what we should’ve had our butler help with, but he was very communicative. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we loved having a private hot tub on our roof — that’s something I haven’t seen anywhere else. "

"We travelled as a family of 4, kids were 7 and 10 years old. We had a wonderful time. The place was clean and staff was kind and helpful. They ensure we had everything we need. The beach was little wavy, but the sand was white and seaweed was cleared. The pool was clean and entertainment was excellent for all ages. There was food for everyone's preferences. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you! "

"Occidental Caribe resort over all was very good, but our butler, Juan Carlos is who made our vacation EXELLENT. Juan greeted us at check-in and assured us that he would take care of all our needs, Juan was true to his word! We were a family of 14 in 6 rooms, and Juan remembered each of us and our room numbers. Juan also greeted us with voice message every morning, made our reservations in restaurants, stopped by to visit pool-side, and even personally dropped a friut plate the night befor we left. Juan was fun, friendly, efficient and dedicated. Juan quickly went from staff to friend to family. Thank you Juan Carlos!!! We have stayed in Barcelo properties in the past and have always had a wonderful experience. We could see signs of age in the rooms but we could also see the commitment to update as well. For example, one of our party saw an elevator full of new beds, and staff working diligently in rooms. Our only disappointment was the quality and variety of food. We didn't go hungry by any means but that is the only area Occidental Caribe could improve. Thank you everyone for making our family vacation wonderful!!!"

"The whole stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived, the check in process was super fast and easy. All staff from housekeeping, restaurant staff, and especially the entertainment crew were 10/10. Nati, our housekeeper was great. The host at the beach restaurant, Laura, was spectacular. Again, the entertainment crew was incredible, shot out to honey, hot chocolate and specially Panda. This is our 6th time visiting majestic resorts and we will definitely be back. "
