Real life

Great stay in an area of London that provides a better glimpse into real life in this amazing city. A revitalizing area brimming with cultural diversity and great food options. This apartment is comfortable and clean. Couches are comfortable enough to sleep on. Kitchen has necessary cooking equipment. Lots of snacks and drinks either for free or for small surcharges. Young kids will love the selection of toys. Adults will appreciate cards and other games. Plenty of hot water. Would stay here again.

This was an extremely disappointing VRBO stay. I felt absolutely misled. I would not recommend to anyone else!I have never rated a property less than 5 stars before and have had great VRBO experiences when listings are accurate. Unfortunately, this one was not.The listing claims “sleeps 6” with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, but this is a lie: one room has a double bed, the other has a bunk bed (double bottom, twin top), and the living room only has a couch covered in unwashed-looking blankets, pillows, & stuffed animals (not 2 double beds as stated).“2 bathrooms” actually means one room with a toilet and a separate room with a shower.The apt is cluttered with food, trinkets, and stuffed animals, and smelled damp. The stovetop was dirty. Towels were thin & rough, & linens were limited to fitted sheets and heavy comforters. The thermostat didn’t work properly & the apt became uncomfortably hot at night.Communication was poor. Host used WhatsApp despite requests to use VRBO, initially sent info to the wrong number, & didn’t respond during checkin when instructions were wrong; we spent 20 minutes outside in the rain trying wrong lockboxes.The building entrance was surrounded by OVERFLOWING trash. The location is not “downtown” & is a 16–18 minute walk to transit, not 9.There was dust throughout, no “gym/fitness equipment” as listed, and the washer/dryer was difficult to use, taking nearly 5 hours & locking while still hot.Shame on VRBO allowing this inaccurate listing.
