“My first time to Dauphin Island and I was impatient. People were friendly and courteous, which is not usual any more. The beach was spotless although I was saddened by the lack of seashells. I enjoy walking the beach looking for “treasures”. I did spot dolphins and fish playing in the ocean, and even had a crab pop out next to me on the beach. If you are looking for activity you will be dissatisfied. I did enjoy a stroll at the Audobon Society preserve, but didn’t find anything else to explore.……

Short of being beach front, the location is great. directly across the street form public beach access and the back road behind the condo allows you to by-pass the Hangout Intersection and traffic.”
