“We were looking for kayak-friendly owners and property, and scored on both! Sweet spot in a protected cove, access to other coves, islands and river nearby, and open ocean 3 miles south. Easy launching from their dock and a dedicated float that allows easy in and out. Shannon and Gil are great hosts; they arranged lobster from son’s catch one day and cooked it for us! Great house with a porch, well-appointed kitchen cozy bedroom and a loft with a view. Plus several preserves for hiking and local……

“Nice, clean place. Very good kitchen and cookware. Washer and dryer were great. The only negative for us were the two futon couches - not very substantial and very uncomfortable to sit on.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our time here in New Harbor. The quiet and solitude of that area was great, and early morning runs to Pemaquid Beach and down to the lighthouse - wonderful! Also close enough to Damariscotta and other towns was perfect. Thank you! The house itself- quiet, very clean, with everything we wanted.”

“Great views. House pretty clean & supplies were fine except only 3 coffee cups for 6 adults. VACasa said they would get more cups. They failed, never received. Some lights didn't work & lots of dead bugs in light fixtures.”
