“This is a budget friendly establishment. It appears the facility is making improvements....new door entry locks were being installed. The furnishings are low end and the bed was way too soft for our comfort. The restaurant advertised is not open but they do serve their breakfasts there. Breakfast was pretty decent. Location was easy commute.”

“Breakfast was amazing, the view from our room was great. When we got there a staff member walked in on us within ten minutes of being in the room which made us a little uncomfortable. As we were leaving the next day a different staff member asked us if we checked out the minute we left out someone went into our room at 9:30am. It felt a bit rushed. The area itself was beautiful and certain staff were wonderful as well.”

“Incompetent staff. Unfortunately even if you carry an honor status you can't get room service daily . Even making of bed . Bathrooms need to be wiped down and vacuum daily . Very disappointing . Will stay with Marriott property next time .”

“Our room was clean & the bed comfy. Breakfast was very good...kudos to the young lady who summoned her courage and 'took care of' a wasp in the dining room! Parking was a bit cramped, but adequate.”

“I have stayed in many historic spas/resorts and this one left me disappointed. Staff appeared brand new, were unable to answer basic questions and had no idea how to get the answers. Basic items were non-existent like a directory of services in the room, items to go with the coffee like sugar or stirrers, lighting in the living room area to even read by. They were pushing boat rides but no one could tell us where the boat would go once we paid $30 per person??? I’m hoping it was just the start……

“We paid for an early check in and a bucket of craft beer in our room. Both of which was granted and was great. The staff however, we not very friendly and not very helpful. They didn't explain the amenities, or tell us where they were on property, or what time they closed. We were given papers and told to check online if we needed any more information. This was not helpful. The property is beautiful but everything was rather expensive. I was expecting more for the amount that we paid. I would……

“What a fantastic inn in Boothbay. Best view and great host/owner. Loved the community kitchen. We bought steamed lobster from Boothbay Hannaford and some corn and had our own lobstah dinner right on our porch”
